John was the youngest of three and brought up by his mother in the confines of Hackney, Stoke Newington, surrounded by the ebb and flow of the sounds of Rock, Reggae, Funk and everything in between.
He quickly turned his talents to drumming with a local band of friends and was influenced by greats such as John Bonum, Keith Moon and Billy Coburn.
Later, John formed his own band and took to playing the guitar, rather than the drums. He continued to be influenced by the greats of the past, but now it was Jimi Hendrix, Phil Lynot, Sly Stone and Parliament Funkadelic. The group produced a sound consistent and rhythmic sound that was ‘live and dangerous’.
Now John works independently, drawing on a number of forums and looking at both production and formula. He is often described as being authentic in his approach and suave with an instinctive visual composition for harmony and melody.
You are invited to journey with him and witness the sounds of this up-and-coming artist.
